By determining the location of the pregnancy, you will know whether or not your pregnancy is inside the uterus. If the location is outside the uterus, it is called ectopic. Untreated ectopic pregnancies are dangerous and can be life-threatening to a woman.

Abortion providers can only perform certain abortion procedures at particular weeks of pregnancy (the gestational age). Medication abortion is FDA-approved to 70 days (10 weeks) of gestational age.
