Confirm Your Pregnancy with a Limited-Obstetric Ultrasound
After a positive pregnancy test, a limited-obstetric ultrasound can provide important information about your pregnancy, including how far along you are and whether the pregnancy is developing in the uterus.
Zoe, A Women’s Center offers free and confidential limited-obstetric ultrasounds for midcoast Mainers in a safe and supportive environment.
What Is a Limited-Obstetric Ultrasound?
A limited-obstetric ultrasound is a safe medical scan that uses sound waves to create an image of your pregnancy inside the uterus.
Unlike an X-ray, ultrasound technology does not use radiation. Instead, a trained medical professional uses a small device called a transducer to view important details about your pregnancy in real time.
At Zoe, A Women’s Center, limited-obstetric ultrasounds are performed to provide important medical information following a positive pregnancy test. This information can help guide medical decisions and provide clarity as you consider your pregnancy options and next steps.
Why a Limited-Obstetric Ultrasound Is Recommended

A limited-obstetric ultrasound helps estimate how far along the pregnancy may be, which can be important information as you consider your pregnancy options and next steps.
