Can I change my mind about my pregnancy decision?

Depending on where you are in the process (whether it’s adoption or abortion), you should almost always have the opportunity to change your mind. This is your future and your pregnancy, so no one should pressure you into making a decision that you feel uncomfortable with.

What if I’ve changed my mind about adoption?

As the birth mother, you have the right to change your mind about adoption even after the child is born, as long as you have not yet signed the final adoption paperwork.

However, once the adoption is finalized and your parental rights are relinquished, the child will legally belong to the adopted family at that point. This is a significant life decision, so take the time needed to make the right choice.

What if I’ve changed my mind about abortion?

If you originally planned on terminating your pregnancy, perhaps you even have an abortion procedure scheduled; it’s not too late to change your mind.

Multiple options and resources are available whether you’re interested in parenting or considering adoption. At Zoe, A Women’s Center, we can help you evaluate what is available and answer any questions. Contact us today to schedule a free appointment!
